On vulgar libertarianism

I have put together a presentation on ‘vulgar libertarianism’ — available at https://odysee.com/@ontheatlantic:f/vulgar-libertarianism:3 .

The presentation touches on the following:

  1. liberty and property — i.e. the relationship between them

    • and how many vulgar libertarians more-or-less (incorrectly) equate the two

  2. social Darwinism

  3. market fundamentalism

  4. their implicit support for violent forms of landlordism and their contribution to the ‘land problem’

  5. their related support for ‘total (private) ownership’ of not just manmade and movable goods but the entire natural environment

  6. the company Enron as an example of vulgar libertarian ideology in practice and its consequences
